Measure 1

CLÁR 2023 – Measure 1 closing Wednesday 11th May 2023 

Measure 1 -  Applications should be submitted to Waterford City and County Council at swhelan@waterfordcouncil.ie 

Types of Projects that may be supported under       Measure 1 include:

-Small Scale Renovation works to community     facilities

-Multi-Use Gaming Areas (MUGAs/Astro-Turf     Facilities)

-Playgrounds/Skateboard Parks/Pump     tracks/Cycling tracks

-Walking/Running/Athletics tracks

-Community Gyms/Community Cinemas

-Sensory Gardens/Community Gardens/Allotments

-Outdoor Bowling Areas/Outdoor Toilet   Facilities/Car Parking

-Improving access at sports grounds e.g.   development/upgrade of spectator stands at local   sports grounds with a particular focus on   improving  access for people of all abilities and   ages.

Measures 2 & 3 are administered directly by the Department of Rural and Community Development and applications are being accepted via email to CLAR@drcd.gov.ie

2023 Community Safety Innovation Fund:

Funding call - Closes 5pm on the Friday 19 May 2023  

€3 million has been made available to support the development of community safety through innovative, local community based initiatives.

This could include activities intended to:

- tackle crime or reduce the fear of crime; improve   community safety and feelings of safety

- support the creation of safe and resilient   communities

- reduce reoffending

- divert vulnerable individuals away from   engagement in criminal behaviour

The WSP Club Development Grant aims to support initiatives that will lead to an increase in participation levels in sports clubs across Waterford.

The closing date Wednesday 31st May.

Priority for funding will be given to minority sports clubs, and/or for initiatives targeting low participation groups and the target groups identified in the WSP Strategic Plan 2018-2022.
